CAFC, when we got our baby, we wrapped a warm hot water bottle in a towel, and inside the towel put a ticking watch. The breeder said it would help settle her because the ticking and warmth would remind her of her mumIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

My sister did this as hers slept on its own in the kitchen. So they bought an old fashion alarm clock with a really loud ticker on it as it's meant to sooth them.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

My sister just put hers out of reach of him rather than in his bed.
The worst part of having puppy for us was the first few weeks when she was nipping all the time, my poor little girl took a hammering but was so good bless her.
It amazes me how quick there teeth come through. One night I looked and four had fell out and when we woke up the next morning the replacements were all peeking through. Now why can't it be like that with babies :mad:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hi CAFC fab news about the pup hon! contemplating a husky myself at the moment!!
Invest in a book called "think dog" by john fisher. It is very good and we used it as a reference book on my instructors course. Also he has another on e" why does my dog." have one toy and one toy only and use it ONLY for reward.
Dogs generally get destructive when they are left and panic when the rest of their "pack" "goes missing" in the dogs eyes. Start as you mean to go on with that, don't let pup go through a door ahead of you always behind, always eat something in her eye sight immediately before you put her food on the floor etc. that way she will accept that you are the leader and you have "the right" to leave the pack and return and will be a much more relaxed little one and therefore less destructive. But most of all enjoy her!!!! i'm sooo envious. so want one myself!!!!!
Lots of hugs, hope that helps a little

Pania while you're here.....................
my pup is brilliant if slightly mad and is perfect in all respects apart from when we are eating.
She is a right pain with my little girl when she has food, forever jumping up her and trying to get the food.
I have tried everything with her but nothing is working. What do you recommend?Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
