Hi everyone had not such a great week, OH has stubbed his toe and ended up breaking his foot so is now in plaster for god know how long! that I can deal with not the end of the world. But today my mum rang me to tell me my grandad has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease I am absolutely in bits I was really close to my grandad when I was younger but since buying my own house and having LO have not been to see him as much and with working all the extra hours since before christmas havent been up at all am going up tomorrow with my mum, its so so sad he is such a good man, it makes me so mad that bad things happen to good people sorry to put a downer on your thread cafc just needed to let it out xx

im so sorry to hear that, best wishes to your grandad and i really hope you get to spend some quality time with him.

Nothing much happened with me after the credit card increase..... i didnt spend it..... woohoo!

Thanks hun! its just heartbreaking hes such an active man am dreading goin up tomorrow, i'm not good with stuff like this never know what to say, plus dont wanna get upset and upset him.

Bella hun,

I say go up there and see him, and just treat it like any other visit, dont mention the diagnosis until he brings it up. Im sure he will have had plenty of visits after hearing such news, and he's likely to just want to have some time still being that active man that you remember him as, not as what the condition will reduce him to.
Keep upbeat for him, his mental state will be SO important, so having you there as that bit of pep will do him the world of good.

Thanks cafc! it went suprisingly well today I went for dinner with mum, OH and LO , it was just like any other visit my nan talked to us about it my grandad just his normal self cracking the odd joke here and there, he his a very very positive man and my nan is a very very strong woman I truely believe things will be fine! theres been a few arguements amongst the family about stupid stuff but this seems to be bringing relationships back together which is good. I'm just gonna keep my chin up for his sake, he did look slighlty different and his speech slurred but other than that ok xx

Im glad it went well though.
Ive been up and out since 6:30am! Doing the cleaning at work and a little bit of training. Am in again 2moro for two hours for some training as well, but on another plus side DH and I are going away for a night and having a day trip to London next wednesday so we get to spend some time together and be a bit touristy.....

Off to check my bank account. I get paid next week which feels like it comes round really quick when I get paid mid month!!

Im not too bad hun.... went on a bit of a bargain yesterday so yes I spent money.........but I consider that I have been doing pretty well...

although thats more of an excuse really.........

been training today..... so was up early early...
off to attempt some meal planning for the week...
