That was brilliant Floxxie.
I'm trying to stave off the desire to buy anything because it's still early days, 7 weeks today in fact so there is still quite a high risk it might not continue which is a horrible thought.
OH came home last night from a BBQ with his work lot to find out his friend and partner have just miscarried, and from what I worked out she was about 12 weeks, they found out at their scan. So as you can imagine I had some pretty restless sleep...
I have found myself talking to it though LOL, either in my head or outloud when I'm on my own... maybe not so much talking to it but talking to myself via the pretence of talking to it... asking if its alright in there? LOL I'll cr&p myself if something answers.....
But that list is brilliant. I'm going to copy it out later into our notebook and do some investigating on ebay. Might have to ask your advice later on prams/pushchairs etc as I havent got a clue what I'm looking for, or going to be looking for....
My mum bless her now she knows has been sending me snippets of info via text message about ginger nut biscuits.... evolution however has lead me to salt and vinegar discos and rich tea fingers!
Will update more a bit later as there is still so much more besides the bean to think about... which needs doing sooner rather than later!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi CAFCGirl,
Yes it is very difficult when people miscarry but you have to stay positive. I think women fall into two catagories - those who worry from day one and those who don't.
I tried ginger biscuits for morning sickness - in fact I used to eat whole packets and then feel very sick. Can't say it did much to help though!I found that brushing my teeth before I ate anything in the morning helped a great deal. Brushing my teeth iteself would cause me to retch but at least there was no food to come out (sorry TMI)
Anyway looking forward to the other parts of your diary.
Off to a MS now.

Thanks again Floxxie,
I've actually had a much better day sickness wise. think it might help that I do a shorter day at work on a sunday so get a bit more sleep in. Changed it up a bit and had toast for breakfast as opposed to cereal and I didnt have the ill feeling after just eating it. So still figuring ou what works at what times at the moment.
Had a small panis over the threat of miscarrying earlier, but like you said I can worry about it or not, esp as its not something I can control. Just trying to make it a nice place in there so bean's got a nice environment
Right so tonight I need to write the cheque to clear OH's credit card, and I'm then going to *find* the credit card, cut it up and write them a letter to cancel the card. I dont want to fall into the trap of, well its clear we can use that one for a while.
OH's car on ebay doesnt look like its going to sell which is a bit of a blow if I'm honest. Would have saved us £150 a month, and we were offered another car for free..... anyone got any tips for selling a car which is on finance?!
OH applied for another job today. For some reason employers these days dont even acknowledge your application or send you a thanks but no thanks letter..... that to me is just rude. Anyone who applies to me always gets a letter.... maybe I'm just old school LOLWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hello All
Have finally written out the cheque to pay off OH credit card... havent found the card yet to cut up... also need to write the letter to get it cancelled as well.... might do that wednesday as its my day off and have the whole day to myself as OH is attending his interviews for fire service
Also found that being pregnant has frazzled my brain and I've spent money so hap-hazardly, and I'm annoyed with myself for it... its mostly been on food whilst at work to counteract the morning sickness, but I will need to get myself under control!
I've got £165 left in my wages account to last till the 26th, so 2 weeks. And that just needs to cover food and my interest charge on my overdraft...
OH's car didnt sell... bit of a blow but he's been through his stuff and found some items to list on ebay, so that should be something when either of us finally get around to actually listing it!
not much else to report really, feeling really tired, and am off to bed nowWealth is not measured by currency0 -

Hey Hun, a hello is always nice
Day at work was hellish... was so tired, and knew i had tomorrow off so made it even worse, counting down the hours etc.....got taken out for lunch by my mum and sister though so that was nice to see them. Bought my sister her bday present as well, expected it to be 12.99 scanned at the till at 7.99 so bonus there!
Have paid an extra £20 off my credit card today, since I'm doing the payment a day challenge, but paying it off in chunks ever few days.... tink im gna have to lower my payment to £1 a day though, as need to keep an eye on the pennies.
OH has gone gone up to Cumbria for his fire service thing, so will see him sometime tomorrow... so have the whole of the evening and most of tomorrow to myself ..... need a little r&r time....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Evening All
Have done very little today due to really suffering with nausea today.... never felt quite so bad before. Stayed in bed till 1pm and have to go into work tomorrow, and have a meeting with my boss, who hopefully is over her mini strop last week.
Have spent the rest of the day on the sofa uploading cd's onto itunes for the ipod for our store music.... had a bath to see if that would help... no lol
On a positive note, OH's credit card is paid off! YAY....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
