That's a bit different. Usually people ar desparate to get a call to tell them they've got a job!:rotfl:
Why don't you want this one?
It's about 15 miles away, which isn't that far but it'll cut into the wages a bit. The main reason is I'd have to give up my current volunteer job which is meant to be becoming paid work (however, this promise has been hanging around since October last year) and uni (but I'm only at uni for the volunteer job).
Does that make any sense?!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me jumping in. As you can see from my post count I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but hoping to change as I found yesterday as I posted my aims I actually did them etc.
Happy birthday Mickey, have a fab lunch (best part lol)
I'm busy trying to list books on Green Met at the mo, taking a break reading the boards before work.
Rubbish weather here but have cooked two whole separate meals from the cupboard so no going to the shop at work for me yay.."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
oooooooooooooooh Gemmzie the intrigue!
Why do you think you dont want it?
Maybe you could sell it on Ebay?!
IA - You're right about tattoos, I've never had anything from the book, I always prefer to design my own, that way it's 100% me thats in them. I'm working on designing one for someone at work now, and I designed my hubby's one too.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Toto, Crave have some lovely maternity stuff, as long as you squint a little bit when you look at the prices!
I love the 'sparkle' dress - in aqua if it's for a sunny, day time party, or black for evening parties.
It's £130 though!!
That's stunning - might consider it myself as I have a wedding to go to and Xmas festivities too... If you can get 4 wears out of it its almost a bargain:rotfl:26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

If they have been promising it since October, maybe you could force their hand, and tell them that whilst you love the volunteer work, you also need to be able to afford to live, and unless they are able to provide paid work for you, you will have no choice but to take the other job? Obviously only say that if you are really prepared to leave if they say no though.
I did yesterday, I've also told them I have another job offer pending so I need to know ASAP. I don't want to leave but I have to, I can't continue to live on nothing. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Pretty much what I was about to write:rotfl: Great minds eh Snaggles!26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Ahhh it all makes sense to me now.
I agree with Snaggles, and I think you've done the right thing in telling them you cant hang on forever on a promise....
Perhaps tell them again tomorrow or something that you need to know by a specific date.
Sometimes you have to step away from something to step back, so maybe you leave, earn some cash, and then they finally do make ur old pot paid, and then you go back....
I'm kinda the same with my job, I love my actual job but they (the big bad men above) are taking the mick so I need to stand my ground a lot more now... always easier said than done though.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
