Hiya all, a lot of folk seem to under the weather or feeling stressed and all I can do is sent hugs - though I don't know how to do the dodgey smilie!
Today I have:-
1. brought in buttered bread and a packet of just out of date crisps for lunch (salt n vinegar - yuck) so that I don't have to go out and spend money.
2. Queried if I can do a mystery shop on a different date (it came to an end yesterday although stated 18/7) and have had confirmation that I can which means a free meal for me, I can treat a friend and will get paid for it.
3. although not got anything sorted for dinner (was hoping to do mystery shop) have decided to use the left over garlic and herb cheese and melt it with pasta adding tomatoes and mushrooms from hte fridge rather than buy anything fresh.
Note to self - I do not like garlic and herb soft cheese in sandwiches and it is false economy to buy it!0 -

I've just spent 25 mins shouting at my car insurance company. I'm getting my no claims bonus back and a refund on my over payment from last year. and I'll be due my excess back!!
If this all goes well my debt could be all but a tiny bit paid off!!
I'm so excited!!
(from one extreme to the other, sorry folks!)

Grab a sealed pot/tin/tub etc and start saving all your loose change, set a date when you will open, and what you want to use the money for. My sealed pot is being opened on 1st aug so that I can use it for summer hols things, like buying the kids an icecream. On 1st aug I will start another, which will be opened for xmas. For my current sealed pot I save 5p, 2p and 1p but have added a couple of £1 coins (sold a buggy on ebay, got £1, put in the tub in disgust lol). My next sealed pot will hopefully include a few more £1 coins lol, or christmas might be quite rubbish pmsl.
There is a sealed pot challenge thread somewhere, but most are saving for the whole year, so I am just doing my own personal challenge.0 -

KT instead of doing (or not doing:D ) lots of different challenges why not set your mind to just one and try and get stuck in. How about the not buying sweets and choc challenge that is around somewhere - good for your waist and your pocket:D Start small and take it a day at a time, it does get addictive once you do get going:p
Keep postingeven if it is how many kit kats you have resisted that day - it all counts - try the demotivator tool for inspiration - saying no to 1 big kitkat a day will save you over £100 a year:T
Good luck0 -
