When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Well, its a darn good job I cut the SOs back to the min, I am left with £40 for food, petrol and any other bits we need, so must be really savvy and only buy what I need. Will also do a mealplan, AND stick to it, which we never manage
Had to put off paying music lessons (£12) as I just cant afford it. DS also wants £24 for a school trip  and need to keep £15 back to complete some mystery shops next week. Now, where is my magic wand.....actually, think I might pop to the garden centre for one of those money trees my mum always used to speak of when I were small... Actually, I am really panicky about having only £40 to get to next thursday with, I always have to have some left over, a throwback from my ex husband, who used to leave us with no money, no food (and no hope) and I now have to have a fallback amount 'just in case'. Daft really
Anyhow! My list....
Today I have:- Checked banking - all SO gone out and paid my Dad back the money that I borrowed a couple of weeks ago.
- Checked mystery shops - none
- Check for new phonebill online but not there yet, so have estimated so that I could work out my aug 1st DDs.
- Breakfast from stores
- List stuff on ebay
- [strike]Housework - need some control and the feelgood factor
[/strike] Done - feel much better now!

- [STRIKE]Meals from stores[/STRIKE] Done

Hi again everyone,
I think I need help. I'm not really doing any of the little things. I'm not even doing any of the big things. Instead I am spending money... Little things, crisps, kitkat, can of diet coke... Things I don't need really (seriously, my waist-line could do without all of those things)
I want to buy things...
Oh dear.
I checked the bank... does that count?
KTjazz :-(:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!
I'm back, and this time I mean business!

Checking banking counts! Have a look at the posts in this thread for inspiration, lost count of the times I almost forgot to do something and was reminded when seeing it here lol.
Have you thought about joining some of the challenges? Grocery, ebay, NSD, pay a debt off by xmas?0 -
