We (2 + 2) visited WC yesterday and had a superb time.
Free entry vouchers accepted without any problems, and were even put to the front of the queue to get through the turnstiles.
Cannot believe how many people were still paying nearly £18.00 entry, they obviously do not look at MSE !!
Might even go back again before the end of Sept.0 -
I went to Warwick Castle yesterday with my wife and our two young sons and we all had a great time. We had about 4-5 hours there and that was not long enough - need to allow a whole day really, especially if you have to pay for your tickets (a family of 4 would cost a whopping £55!).
A couple of other tips that I have not read from anyone else is that we had to park in the overflow carpark (i.e. field) and it takes 20 minutes to walk to the castle from here. And the car park itself costs £3, which they don't seem to advertise until you get there.
We used the free tickets via susancs (see post #99), no problem with children getting in for free, so thanks again to susan.0 -
Thanks to the OP for this one :T we had a fantastic day out yesterday & spent 7 hours there, the sun was shining too which made it even better. Don't know if this has been mentioned but if you need the loos the ones in the courtyard get packed, we had to queue for about 10 minutes. However if you go behind where the archery bit is, there's loos hidden behind the Orangery building, they're tucked away but were completely empty when we used them. There's also some lovely gardens up there too with Peacocks all over the place.0

Went yesterday (30/8). 2 adults, 2 kids (aged 13) no problems - one voucher each express entry without queueing and we all went together as a group of 4 (didn't go one by one to look like we were all separate). There were loads of people with the same voucher and all were waved through, even with young kids and no questions were asked whatsoever.
Used some of the money we saved (£55 !!) to allow the kids to have ice creams (which were around £1.30 - very reasonable) and we went into the Ghost experience (£2.75) which was amazing but quite scary.
Parked in the Stables car park which is right next to the entrance so it was easy to nip out for the picnic at lunchtime and they stamped our hands for re-entry. Car park cost £5 which is £2 more than the other car parks but is so much nearer that it is well worth it.
Lovely day, lovely weather and the staff at the castle were all very pleasant and engaging even at the end of the day when we left.
30 days left to use the voucher - go for it. I have saved a copy if anyone wants it sending to them, just send me a pm.

Click on this link in rapid share to get the voucher, scroll to free link on bottom left to get the file. Where it says not a premium user you see a code beside it with a box, enter the code in the box and download. Save the file to your computer for future use or open it and print out.
