help !!! cant find document in vista

hi, i need urgent help - was writing my dissertation which i opened from an email attachment. i kept pressing save rather than save as, then i closed it but now i cant find it!!! i am using vista help please!!!!!

press windows key and e then look in c drive for either users look for your name look in my documents failing that look in the folder that says windows then look for the folder marked temp

should be there
