Orange Contract that ended in August 2007

I am not happy with Orange, I have just found out that my contract expired last August. Orange never contacted me and have carried on billing me. Are they allowed to do this. Surely if you sign up for a contract it expires at the end of the term you originally signed up for eg 12 or 18 months.
Whats even worse is that I have been paying £25 a month for just 200 minutes and 100 texts. I have been offered 300 minutes, unlimited landline calls, 100 texts and a new phone for £15 a month now. I could of saved myself at least £120 in the past year if I was on this deal when my contract had ended.
I have been with Orange for years as they are the only company that gets reception where I live but am a little fed up at how they have treated me.
Any advice would be welcome

Just give them a ring.
In all the years we've used them, they've never contacted us to let us know the contract was ending, but I always keep a watchon it.
Phone them, be friendly and ask what offers they have for you.
Don't forget to ask about magic numbers.
I've stuck with Orange despite a few glips, because to be honest they're all the same in the end.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Nope, your minimum term has expired, not the contract. It's a mobile contract, not car insurance.0 -
I detest Orange immensely. I have had endless problems with them and am currently awaiting a 3rd promised callback regarding changing my contract...0

You didn't realise that your contract ran out a year ago and didn't know how much you were paying or what for?0

It happens ....0

Terms and conditions, freely available on their website or in their shops, they probably even send them to you. Read them in future. As the earlier post a contract and a minimum term are two different things0
