I've won a holiday on a scratch card
Comments

why are you picking on the negative and not commenting on mu posts.
I have won a scratch card holiday. I did not have to ring a premium rate fone number, I just had to book the flight with them. I did not have to attend any timeshare and neither was I bussed anywhere, in fact I was not bothered once while on holiday.
I am glad you "won" a holiday which you had to pay for. All I am saying is it is not for me. If I win something I am not expecting to pay to receive it & neither would the majority of the UK.

I didnt win a holiday, I won a weeks free accomodation in lanzarote, I guess I should have said I won accom and not a holiday, apologies. I choose to accept it and payed for the flights, if I hadnt accepted it it wouldnt have cost me a penny.
I have just entered a comp to win tickets to the speedway final next year, but I have to pay to get there and back, is there any difference.
I do agree with you that winning a "holiday" and then having to ring a premium rate number and paying registration etc isnt very good, but that is not what happened to me.0 -

On this thread we are talking about 2 specific company's. It will cost you to find out about your win whether you take it or not, what you are talking about was 15yrs ago so it does not apply at this time.
If anyone on this forum can point us to company's who do not charge a premium phone number for "winning" a holiday please let us know.
Just another point, how does anyone weed out the genuine holiday reward(so called by Simon Kent, never heard it called this before) to the ones who will charge extortionate prices to receive your "free" holiday?

2) Can you please direct me to the terms & conditions of the 7 day med holiday scratchcard?
3) Am I correct in saying that the cards retail for less than £10 each... Approximately?
4) Are any of the 7 day med holiday scratchcards you sell, losing cards?

What is free when you pay £39 per person?
If you want a quality holiday in Gran Canaria, pm me for details. It's less than £39 per person for the accommodation and I think it is cracking value. You would need to find your own flights and airport transfers but easyjet costs less than £100 return per person. I'm a regular MSEer and guarantee an honest description.

Massala,
Like all these things you have to be 'in it to win it'. All the people who have replied to your post probably haven't ever entered a competition and so have not won a thing in their lives. However, I bet they have all bought a lottery ticket at some point with an incredibly small chance (14.7m to 1 for the jackpot) of winning.
Everyone, is sceptical because many of these things appear to be 'too good to be true' but the Office of Fair Trading have spent the last few years cleaning up this industry sector so that the only companies remaining, including Purely Creative, are operating to all the applicable industry standards.
The holiday voucher you have received is operated by Whoopydoo and I have seen people paying up to £200 for these on Ebay and then spending another £39pp processing fee plus their taxes of £34pp. If you work it out, they are probably getting the holiday for a total of £500 for 4 people inc the Ebay seller's rip off fee. This would still be about half the high street price to most of the destinations on the voucher. As you got the same voucher for only a few quid, you have probably missed out as the vouchers are normally time specific and the valid date will have passed by now.
How do i know all this?
I've travelled with them on 3 occasions and saved myself and my family well over £1200 now.
I've no idea how they make it pay because I've got another 2 vouchers currently being processed with them, but I only want the cheap hols.
My advice to you on this forum would be to seek advice from people who have actually had direct experience of the company / product concerned because many 'experts' are often just providing an opinion rather than imparting any real knowledge.
If you want any help with claiming vouchers of this type then feel free to ask.
This man using this username "pa1antir7" is "Mr Whoopydo", he owns the company! funny he didnt mention that! I applied for one of his scamming holidays, and couldnt believe what rubbish is being offered. glad i didnt give pa1antir7 "Mr Whoopydo", my money! (I bet he drive a big flash pimp like motor)
Whoopydoo is a trading division of Fireball Media Ltd, registered in the UK number 4202260. The Grange, 1, Hoole Road, Chester, CH2 3NQ & purley creative are all tied up together. 1 big barrel of bad apples.:rotfl:0 -

We supply holiday based rewards to a number of companies who scratch cards, competitions, in store promotions, on-line promotions and data surveys.
All of the holidays are booked through our dedicated travel agents who are abta and atol bonded. We do not use any timeshare accommodation and you will never be asked to attend any presentations on our holidays. We never pass on any of your personal data.
The holidays are all totally genuine and we try very hard to offer people their preferred dates and destinations with a departure airport that isn't too onerous to reach. As a result we send loads of people away and many of them are kind enough to complete post holiday surveys and provide us with the testimonials that you can all read on our web site.
If you don't want to take up the holiday reward then that's fine with us as everyone who takes up the holiday costs us a lot of money!
You may not understnad how we can do this but perhaps that is why we are the leaders in our field.
Hopefully you will appreciate me making this post as this is a good forum and should help people by providing facts rather than uninformed opinion.
THIS MAN IS A CON. HE PLACED AN EARLIER POST ON HERE USING A DIFERENT USERNAME "pa1antir7". 1st he posed as a happy customer of whoopydoo now he's the MD? bit funny eh!!!!

The first bit of the con is in getting you to phone a premium rate number.
The second bit of the con is to get you to send them money for your "prize".0 -

Example
"7 day Cruise for 2 Voucher
.............. The perceived value is around £400 but cost per voucher is under £10."
As I take it these vouchers aren't available to the general public, its more a case of trade, rather than retail, price.
All the companys contact details are in the public domain.0 -
DAMNED! I really wish you'd have won a holiday.
