  • I am so sorry.

    Death is nothing at all.
    It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
    Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
    There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

so sorry to hear of your sad and sudden loss,
our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

we feel so sad , when those we love are called to live in the home above, but they have but gone to prepare the way,
and we'll meet them again some happy day ,
for god has told us that nothing can sever ,
a life he created to live on forever ,
so let God's promise soften our sorrow,
and give you new strength for a brighter tommorow.

I too have never spoken to you but my heart goes out to you and your family at this sad time.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Much love to you and your family from Di, Al & girls xxx
