Part Cash Part Stocks & Shares ISA?

Hi Everyone
I currently have £6750 in a cash ISA and have now used up all my cash ISA entitlement for this year. I believe I can invenst up to £7200 this year if I buy stocks and shares. However, I dont want to convert all the cash I have at the minute - I would like that to reamin "safe"
I have about another £500 I could invest straight away and prob another £50 -100 a month for the rest of the year, which I would be a medium term investment.
So can I keep the cash I already have in my cash ISA and nvest some different money a more riskier Stocks and Shares ISA? I cant find any info about how I would go about doing it. My current cash ISA is with Egg.
I am pretty new at this saving thing - so could do with some advice!

Yes you can invest the remainder of your allowance for this year in a stocks & shares ISA. The amount of investment you make is really up to you but the recommendation I had was to go for monthly payments rather than a lump sum - a good idea just now when share prices are dropping month to month. Personally my advice would be to see an IFA if you want to get into a stocks & shares ISA now.0
