  • Actually through GAME you can get 11% cashback from Quidco and its £64.99 as well delivered so you could get £7.14 cashback

  • I'm looking to pre-order guitar hero 4 (world tour) for xbox 360, the game only as it's gonna' sell out for a while.

I already pre-ordered gears of war 2 which you can get from whsmith:
    limited edition:
    http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-Gears+Of+War+2+Limited+Collectors+Edition-873308.html
    or standard

Now the only ones I've managed to find are like 39.99 and there is usually somewhere that will do them for 29.99 because I've seen them for that on wii at play.com

Where's the cheapest place to get it with or without vouchers?

    Thanks,
  • why do I get the feeling this topic is in the wrong place?

    Hi Yazoomafroo,

Yeah tell me about it, it's going to be super popular when it first gets launched. I order mine last week. For Xbox 360 game only, the cheapest retailer is: Zavvi.co.uk at £38 for the game only.

Anyone else looking for the cheapest retailer, I found the cheapest price by this site specially set up for checking prices of Guitar Hero World Tour game: http://www.guitarheroworldtour.org.uk - Made it easy for me to find out the prices.

Bring on 7th November - Whoop Whoop!

My 9 year old has asked for an electric Guitar for christmas (after seeing Guitar Hero advertised on the TV!). I'm not going to go down the electric guitar route, but it made me think that maybe Guitar Hero was an alternative? My children already have a PS2 and Fr Christmas is bringing them a Wii this year. What is best? To get it on PS2 or the Wii? Is he a bit young for this do you think? And shall I go for Guitar Hero 1, 2 or 3? Do you get a guitar with it?? Please help - I haven't a clue!! Thanks. x
  • YES you do get a guitar with guitar hero. Know i would say go for 3 as it has more master tracks (this is where they the actual recorded tracks from the artists and not just what they recorded). But if you want to really splash out i would wait and get GH:WT http://guitarhero4.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/ghwtcompletegame.jpg?w=450&h=315
  • dont go for any....yet
Rock Band 2 is out in 3 weeks as is Guitar Hero: World Tour

see what gets the best reviews on Metacritic, and purchase accordingly!

At the moment most people would recommend Rock Band over Guitar Hero, and Guitar Hero 3 has generally got not-so-favourable reviews

If your interested the new games feature guitar, drums and microphone - it is quite expensive all in but great family entertainment

do not believe for one minute that Guitar hero or any of those type of games bears any resemblance to playing a real guitar...so its not an alternative if he really wants to learn....I would imagine striking the pose and throwing your hair back is what he's after....and if theres no chance of any budding drummers/singers in the family...dont go down the rockband route ....keep your eye out for Guitar Hero 3 c/w guitar dropping quite a bit in price...grab one now...from memory there's a few posts on HDUK with the recent price drops...and its still a great game...most of the songs on it are classics...you should know a few if you've got kids that age....lol
    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
