Tesco At It Again......

This one topped it all for me with Tesco.
Over a month ago I ordered a fridge and a seperate freezer to replace a fridge freezer from tesco.Yes we can get you both and both delivered at the same time (which is what I needed for obvious reasons).Gave me a delivery date of 14 days for both and I was quite happy.
Phone call at 9.30 pm 3 days later-We are delivering your fridge in the morning please be in.......??????But what about the freezer----Only got a fridge---Had to cancel delivery as a fridge on its own was no good......
Rang Tesco....
They have got both.Rang Couriers.Only got a fridge......So on and so on.freezer LOST in transit.....
Rang Tesco sorry we will have to re-order...........Sorry we can't get that freezer any more from the suppliers.......So with the help of a supervisor cancelled the whole order and brought the identical items from RTD.Delivered 4 days later from the manufactors (same couriers) and very happy.

Two weeks later had a letter fromTesco to say sorry that the couldn't forfill my order but hoped it wouldn't put me off shopping with them again.
Nice touch as they didn't have to do anything really.

LAST WEEK LOOKED AT BANK STATEMENT they have only taken the money for the 2 items...........................:mad: :mad:
Then put one lot of money back...............Still owing me £267.........

Phone call to op then supervisor then Manager money would be refunded we are sorry but what do you want us to do , you have got your money back now........."We can't monitor everything and we rely on people telling us if we make an error"................

Doesn't it make you want to rush and not order something and get charged for it???????

    Unfortunate but with automated computerised systems this is going to get more and more common. It used to be that anything delivered would take 28 days however nowadays we seem to want everything yesterday. Computers don't make intelligent decisions they simply follow a set of rules. In this day and age it is not about worrying if these things happen (because they are going to happen) it is how the companies sort them out afterwards that is important.

  • So true Ivanopinion and Tesco's answer was "you have got your money back now you have complained so what is your problem????"

    Customer relations there is really top notch....NOT.........

    They did say they would look into this as the orders were clearly cancelled but I haven't heard a single word about it and doubt I ever will..
