Should I transfer to stocks & shares

I have about £13K in a cash ISA which has been slowly gaining interest for years - it used to be a TESSA,then a TOISA,now just an ISA.
Obviously the best time to buy anything is when prices are low but is now a good time to be transferrring to stocks & shares considering how the market has gone down,or should I wait in the hope it goes down more.
Thanx

That is the million dollar question
Probably more important is are you prepared to take the risk that it hasn't bottomed out, or indeed that the markets won't recover for many years? If you are sure you want to get into "stocks and shares" (and don't think its just shares as there are various asset classes you can invest in through and S&S ISA) have you considered drip feeding the investment in, thus reducing the effect of buying at the wrong time? 0 -
Nobody knows. Back in March some were confidently predicting that was the bottom for UK equities and it was safe to go back in the water - much of that talk was from the investment industry anxious to have our money.
In fact over the last eight weeks we've had another fall of around 20%. Makes no sense at all to jump in while the direction is still firmly down. Even when we see a slow-down in the fall that might only be a pause for breath. If you're getting good interest on cash then that's likely to be the best place for a while.0
