how much memory etc

Options
I'm sorry but I'm a bit thick when it comes to GB/MB etc.

Can someone tell me how much memory, what spec computer I need please.

I need Microsoft Office & I put some family photos on.

I don't download much so that isn't really an issue.

I would want to use wireless broadband.

thanks in advance..

    2GB minimum.

Do you have a computer at the moment or are you looking to buy?

He was quoting be-alright. You don't need 2GB minimum to do what you want to use it for.

2GB is the defacto for PC's now. There's no point in gimping your purchase by taking one step forward but two back.

My PC has 1GB and is a couple of years old now. I do have an expensive graphics card in it but it has never really felt like needing an extra gig and plays most games fine. As someone previously said, anything you can buy today will do what you want fine OP, its very easy to add more RAM if need be on both desktops and laptops.

The difference between 1GB and 2GB is only £10 so why not give yourself room for future apps that will use it, even if you might be able to make do with only the 1GB just now?
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

I'd still say 2GB is the minimum you should really be looking at unless you're getting an eee pc or an equvilent.

Not necessarily when buying a new PC. My point was that it's so easy to add another GB of RAM after purchase, so you don't need to search out a PC with 2GB minimum fitted.
