Wanadoo?....well no...I don't!

Just wondering whether anyone has found a handy loophole for the latest
bugbear from Wanadoo! :naughty:
They now offer 2meg broadband for the same price as the 1meg that I signed up for just under a year ago (having been a pay as you go/pay monthly customer for years!) and Mum signed up for about three months ago.....In fact it's even cheaper at the mo at £14.99 for the first 6 months (no set up fee; free modem..blaa blaa blaa!).......but if we want it (you know...existing customers therefore not potentially new and worth encouraging! :rolleyes: ) we have to pay a set-up fee of £20 which annoys the heck out of me! You can even upgrade from the 2 to 8 megs soon they tell me now - and that's free!!! I would love to revolt along with hundreds of others and stop them from being so damn mean! :mad: Their reasons for the charge stink!Any suggestions? It would be a pain to have to change my e-mail address at the end of my year's contract....

  • If you are out of your 12-month contract there is no need to pay the £20 upgrade fee. I told them I was leaving if I didn’t get a free upgrade, they agreed to a free upgrade there and then and just over 24 hours later I had the 2mb service.

  • Well it worked for you and others counterstrike...but it doesn't work for everyone - I still get the same nonsense spouted about costs...which doesn't add up when you see what new customers are offered.....but they are only interested in upping their figures...the old faithful customers...in spite of the poor service we get (it's just such a hassle changing!) mean absolutely nothing at all!
    I'm looking alsewhere now - they are the pits!
