you wont be able to use a 3 sim in a 2g phone as 3 try their hardest to stop their sims working in 2g phones (such as yours) as they (3) have to pay other networks to use their 2g network when you cant get any of 3's 3g coverage0

Yes generally you will not be able to use a 3 SIM card in a non 3 phone even if the latter is unlocked. If you look on Ebay(use the drop down menu on the left to specify that you want it 3 compatible) you should be able to get one cheaply0

providing the phone is 3g capable, they will allow you to use it otherwise i wouldnt be using my k810 on 3 as 3 never sold the k8100 -
I have a similar (ish) problem with a Nokia 6300. I put a 1 GB Memory card which fits in easily but doesnt register on the phone. Is it just that the memory card I've bought ( off a market ..doh!) isn't compatible with the phone ?!?!0

this thread is about simcards, not memory cards but have you tried cleaning the phone & memory card's connectors otherwise try pushing it in the slot until it clicks (& reboot the phone if necessary)I'mcomingbackasaman wrote: »I have a similar (ish) problem with a Nokia 6300.
