I don't believe there are companies that do good deals for young people. There are a variety of different factors that they use to calculate the price...where you live, job, type of car. If one young person gets a low price with a company another person who tries to get a quote may get a much higher price depending on the factors above.

Just use Martins tips and use all the search engines, quidco etc.

    It is still fraud.

It's not fraud. The parents would be insured to drive it should they choose to.

It is if in reality the child is the main driver and the parents are only irregular ones.
  • i used diamond as my first insurance- best of a bad lot really price wise. i'm pretty sure all you need is for one female ie your mum, to be one of the named drivers in order to get a quote. i also had a small cheap car, which isn't that much help here i know :T

Insurance policy in parent's name - child as named driver = fraud
Insurance policy in child's name - parent as named driver (which often brings down cost) is not fraud is the point I was making :)
