I wanted to switched broadband provider - purely for a cheaper rate and a free wireless box - anyway wrote off to BT for a mac code - they replied saying that as I had only just re-newed my broadband that I was in contract for another year - as I had no idea what they were talking about, as I had signed nothing, ask them what exatcly they were referring too - anyway after several emails back n forth I got the reply below today:rolleyes:
I have checked yor account details and found that on date 18/06/07 you moved your home . As per the policy your if you move to some other premises your brroadband get renewed .
I hope had given information about policy of home moving . If yo have any confusion.
.I have gotto laugh or I'll cry :rotfl:
I have been at my address for over 4 years now -have been with BT all that time and they are saying I have moved home - I have responded by telling them this and that the only move I am interested in at the moment is the one for my broadband provider - anyone else had problems with BT moving onto another broadband provider ?

 No way - I do not have the time to spend hanging on waiting n waiting n waitin for them to pick up the phone - my son in law spent 90 minutes hanging on to speak to them about his broadband - he actually fell asleep - woke up and was still on hold - in total he spent over 4 hrs in calls before finally getting through to a 'person'
they really are something else down at good ol BT0 -

Not for Broadband. but I just moved and found out the same - contracted again for another 12 months for the phone line, even though it's still the same account etc and paid the line installation . Blah.
