Anyone any idea's on how to stop him getting the dressing off? It's one of those big purple plaster style ones.

He was wearing his cone last night, so that didn't stop him! He is a monster!!!
Find something he dislikes the taste of then cover it with that?

He must be using his other paw too. Perhaps you could put a sock or something over that so he can't get his claws into the dressing? Or wrap the dressing in clingfilm so its slippy?

They are very good ideas! I will ask the vet or nurse when I see them later about that.

Feeling a bit better today - less spaced out and less resentful of having to interact with others!

Had a lovely chat with Hubbles last night. He's letting more and more of his excitement about the baby show and was asking how he can be involved at the birth although he doesn't want to be too close to the business end! He was burbling on about schools and childcare too. Such a sweetie!!!

Work is a bit dull this week but is likely to be more hectic next week as a deadline has been shifted forward.

No nausea today. Starting to have hope that I might escape full blown morning sickness entirely !!!

Probably not. I had gastric flu 2 Xmases ago and it was horrendous. Nothing would stick. I lost almost 2 stone and was into a size 10. Didn't last long though unfortunately...

hey lucy. do you have any bitter apple? it is relatively cheap to buy at the vets and can come in a spray or a squirty bottle. pt a piece of clingfilm or plastic wrapped over the top of the bandage (to protect it and the wound from getting wet) then soak a vetwrap bandage still on its roll in the bitter apple. bandage this over the top of the existing bandage wringing it out as you go before wrapping it around the leg. if he chews that off i'd be amazed!!!
alternatively some people use tape around the top of the bandage to hold it on but you may have to cut some of the hair to remove it gently when it is time to come off again. alternatively he may need a bigger elizabethan collar, they really shouldn't be able to get to it with those on.
    Good luck!!!!
