    Hi,

I didn't want to start a new thread so hopefully somebody can help me here :)

I booked a flight last night for my girlfriend but put Mr instead of Miss.

I emailed British Airways asking could they change it once I noticed the mistake and then replied stating...

I am sorry we are unable to amend any details on her booking by email.

We need you to have your girl friend’s booking and her passport, all in the same name.

To amend the title of her name on the booking, please call our local sales office as only they have full access to your reservation details.
So I called them and the guy on the phone said it would be ok and he would send the airport a message.

I'm just a little worried as the flight isn't till February. He did say I could change it now but it would be £30!!!

Has anybody else done this and been ok?

I have told her to take a banana and stuff it down her trousers if she gets any hassle but would rather not need to!!

    Thanks

    I've been Money Tipped!
As long as the name is right the citaton does not matter. Due to my citation and the limited abilty of some airlines to cope with it I often have the right citaion and then the wrong gender, or I have the right gender and the wring citation, it never matters (and I travel a lot).

As long as the name itself is right (citations are not shown on passports anyway).
  • Thanks Amys :)
  • I've had Mrs instead of Miss many times on my tickets, it's not a problem. My fiance once had his last name and first name changed round! They didn't bat an eyelid leaving UK, entering Bulgaria the guy called someone over...and they all thought it was hilarious...lol! :)
