Motorola V500 anyone had this problem

Just come back off holiday. Switched phone off at Malaga Airport, arrived in Birmingham switched phone on, just keeps going off and on?

Has anyone else had this happen? Orange say it could have been when it went through the scanner in my hand bag, don't know whether I believe this or not. Obviously it is out of warrenty now by about 6 weeks!!

I cannot use the phone at home it does not work because I live in rural Wales. So it has had not where near 12 months usage. Any advice would be appreciated.

if you battery is ok then i would guess at a s/w problem which can be fixed by a reflash

As I'm having a similar problem with a V525,and it's nearly 12 months old,and for the less technical amongst us,a reflash is??????

reflash is replacing the s/w with a different or newer (or even the same if original was corrupted) rather like reinstalling windows on pc.
if its less than 12 months old i would get it to repair center quick before warrenty runs out.
ive seen a lot of v525s with a similar type probelm and is nearly always the s/w or the ribbon cable
