That is really bad, I hope you get it sorted soon, it does seem very odd to have such a discrepancy between the prize advertised and what they sent. Did they think you wouldn't notice :rolleyes:

Definately email them (or phone) and say you were told you had won a £500 BBQ and the picture on the site is a gas BBQ but u have a received a charcoal bbq (google it to find the value of it) which is worth much less so could they please look in to this for you as you believe the incorrect prize has been sent out. Hopefully they will help but if they do say get lost then complain to the ISP and they will sort it out the best they can for you.

How pants that you got the wrong prize delivered I'd definitely try to ring them & if not email them & let them know that when you spoke to some friends they suggested you contact the Institute of Sales Promotions to ask for their advice, but you really don't want to have to involve them if it can be helped.

It's amazing sometimes that just dropping their name into the conversation a magical transformation occurs & things seem to suddenly be sorted out I hope this is the case for you too. If you do need the info then Muffy0 is right, there's info on the Comping Guide, Winning Section, item 7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?

Hi thanks for all your help, I have spoken to them a couple of times and they say they are arranging for carlsberg to switch barbecues. I am going to give them till the end of the week and if still no joy then I will definitely go with your suggestions. Thanks very much.
