O2 Insurance

Has anyone got o2 insurance and if so do you need to take it immediately or is it possible to take out 'emergency insurance' when you need it.

And how much is the excess?

    I used to have Carphone Warehouse mobile phone insurance but discovered recently that mobiles are covered (at home and out) by our house insurance.
