I think I'm paying too much for gas & electricity
I had moved to a new house a year back. British gas was my supplier for both
gas & electricity( Click energy 4 plan). Was with them for 8 months, then switched
over to Swalec. I am on the "energyplus Argos General Domestic NSC" plan with
Swalec.
Its a 5 bedroom semi detached house. Heating ,cooking oven, shower run on gas.
A fridge/freezer, 2 laptops ,energy saving bulbs run on electricity. Electricity meter
has been changed to a digital meter.
When with british gas I was paying gas - 75 per month
electric - 60 per month
Swalec - gas - 85 per month
electric - 60 per month
In my recent bill from Swalec for last 3 months it says 14787.76 kWh or
1358.06 cu mtrs used for my gas.
The reason I switched to swalec was cheaper rates after doing a search on the
comparison sites. I pay my bills by monthly direct debit. In the recent bill I got there
was a 50 pound excess to pay for my gas.
I have a feeling I am paying too much for my utilities. Any recommendations.
