these threads were both started by the owner of oveclockers uk, now am I the only one who thinks he is seriously screwed in the head?
Apart from poor customer service you are giving your money to a pretty nasty person, imo a brilliant reason not to go anywhere near that place!

? this is a quick get it bargain/shop dont drop bargain? nope
people have a right to express their views or raise certain subjects in the correct place. if that is his board, then i guess it is the right place to bring it up.
this however is the wrong place to bring it up.what is the plural of moose?

You could try the Vent board"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
~
It is that what you do, good or bad,
will come back to you three times as strong!

OCUK are crap, have always been crap.
Unfortunately people still order from them, it's not something anyone can stop

err. after reading those sites and a load of other stuff that's linked off them (check the don's archive in one of the forums linked from overcockers.com - I don't *really* understand it but it looks pretty flamin awful. Who the hell are all these people who've got all day to bleat on about rubbish anyway? Haven;t they got a business to run?
BTW - if you don't really care about that, check these ratings! http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1714-p1.html0 -
yep the guy who owns OC is a nasty, nasty person. He doesn't care who he offends as long as they give him their money first.
Customer Service is also non-existent and I have heard (unconfirmed) rumors that they sell 'returned' stock as 'brand new'
I think all the mods over in their forums are unpaid schoolkids who get a kick out of the 'authority'. I find it really hilarious when the owner (Spie) posts something controversial and the mods rally behind him like little lost lambs - dare to argue with Spie and you'll get a ban.
He's also happy to call his customers 'idiots' so go figure. Do you REALLY want to do business with this guy?
Its a pity people are still happy to buy from them -- I am guessing most of his business is generated via his forums , but most customers dont even venture into the very nasty 'non-technical' general discussion area of the forums -- I am indeed guilty of this and bought quite a lot of stuff from them in the past, but never again.
Its also strange why he doesnt use the forums to allow customers to contact his company. Mention any criticism of his company on that site and you'll get an instant ban. Also a lot of the posts are heavily edited to suit what THEY want it to say.
The owner also boasts regularly about his latest hot car and how he's richer than everyone else. If I worked at OC I'd find that very demoralising with my boss flaunting his money like that while I was being paid a crap wage to fund his lifestyle.
In short, Overclockers is just an 'umbrella' for the guy's to exert his authority and his political activities and right wing beliefs.
Avoid at all costs.0 -

My mate just received an empty box from them! From reading the above 'pakistanis smell' post, I don't think I could ever recommend them. Morons.Er...0
