There are plenty of cruises and it is looking like there will be plenty of late deals over the summer especialy if you look to a cruise line that aims at the US market they canot do last minute in europe so the cabins get sold off to the european cruisers.

How about the Baltics some good deals up there for some peak dates.

Med, some 14n cruises from Southampton need to price them up for the peak times but I expect a deal will be there somewhere, should get within budget since you can up this for the incuded food which was not in your original budget.

If you are flexable for any time in the school hols then a late deal is almost bound to come up one of the weeks, just build up a list of cruises you fancy and price watch. No fly cruises give the best option for late deals, allthough any cruise that uses charter flights can also produce late bargains.

See here for ideas of current offers coming through.

time has passed any many phone calls to estate agents etc, i cant get flights to usa in august for less than £750, All of the cruises are now cruise only for informal ocean village etc, so we would have to get to palma on our own,

the next deals ive found are

    mexico (cancun) £1000 all inclusive

and dom republic, antigua and st kitts and cuba all around £800 room only.

can anyone please please help me decide.

i just want to chill out maybe get a car and explore my gf also wants to do the same and also some shopping so im not sure the caribbean has shops? we want some form of nightlife but cancun ive heard can be rowdy? people say its tacky there, and busy. I dont mind this. is it like a mini vegas?

many thanks its getting a bit close now!!!

Are you sure the quote for Cuba wasn't AI? I ask this as there aren't really many options for dining out at beach resorts. To be honest - as much as I love Cuba, from what you have said you are looking for I don't think Cuba would be right for you on this occasion.

I haven't been to Mexico but I think it would suit you much better.

    wow what an unproductive evening!!

spoke to Virgin, the problem is that because we can only go in the school holidays it makes everything alot more expensive!!

the price came out at about £1500!!

might have to book in advance and do the L.A SAN FRAN VEGAS next summer with a few friends.

now im more interested in the caribbean or cruises. will have to do a search to find the most casual

im not big on dressing up, been on the QE2 and it was a bit too formal for me, even on the informal nights there was nowhere to escape if you did want to dress down because everyone else were smartly dressed!.

    many thanks guys!

Just come back from two weeks of Thomson Cruises. It's possible to do this without any formality. The only formal evenings are the captain's cocktail party and we decided to give that a miss (went to the buffet restaurant instead). Apart from that, the main waiter restaurant just required that gentlemen didn't wear shorts at evening meals. Fabulous time.
