I hope someone can help, i want to make Irish stew in my remoska today but should I put all the ingredients straight into the deep apn or into a casserole dish with a lid and then into the remoska.
And also will irish stew be ok in the Remmy or will the temperature be too high?
I put everything straight into the Remoska. The temperature will be fine!
Enjoy your meal:beer:

HypnoNu if the irish stew seems to be cooking too fast don't forget you can make a 'shield' of 3 layers of silver foil - or silicone, or 'magic mat' - put it on top of stew and it will slow down. Having said which I wimped out and did a game casserole on the hob in a le Creuset pot with a heat diffuser at the weekend as I was sure the Moska wouod cok it too fast and I wanted it just to simmer VERY slowly as meat would be tough otherwise. It was delish, but I will try it in Moska next time Mr T is selling mixed game cheaply.0

I must admit I really don't understand this Remoska thingy .... but perhaps I understand myself even less as I've ordered one anyway :rotfl:"Finish each day And be done with it.

You shouldn't pre-heat the remoska as it can damage it (the exception to this is if you are heating oil/fat ready to cook something in for a short while)...so, no I don'tpre-heat, just put the cake mixture in and turn onPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

In the deep pan you can cook in 2 layers - just remember that the top layer will cook/brown quicker than the bottom one. I use a rack to do this, sometimes putting a bit of foil under what is on top of the rack to stop it falling through the rack or dropping fat etc on whatever is in the bottom.
I very rarely do this however as I have a grand in which I cook for 2 people, so most often I use the shallow pan and spread everything on the bottom. I use the shallow pan more often than the original deep one."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
How can I cook a ready meal in the remoska?
It's in a plastic container but you can oven cook it.
Can I put it straight in the pan or do I need to put it on something?
I have a silicone cake tin should I upturn that?0 -

ooh - how exciting! :j:j Which one did you go for? I would suggest to not be afraid to experiment with it. When ever you go to cook something on the hob or in your oven STOP - try the Remoska instead:T. I think you will find it so easy and time saving and a lot less washing up!
Welcome to the family :rotfl::T:beer:.

Now, I havent got mine yet, but if it comes at the weekend, one of my meals I want to have is a Frittia, normally I would do this on the hob and then under the grill.
Should I try it in the moska? Surely using a gas hob for the frying part is more economical than the moska?Pawpurrs x0 -

I have to disagree as I've found the Remoska heat too high for stew. Using the foil stops things burning but doesn't turn the heat down. They're good but they're not magical!0
