:hello:
Been reading for a couple of hours now, and my head is buzzingI have been looking at the Remoska for ages, but it is expensive to buy. But oven is not working too great so maybe a good investment. I am amazed that you can cook so many different things in it with only one temperature as your oven has so many settings, and it coming out brilliant, Will have to wait until my car is fixed (was in an accident with big lorry) and if I need to pay the excess on my insurance
How do you cope with things like sausages, bacon etc that you would normally grill? Do you end up with a lot of fat? And then drain it off from time to time? We all love stews and one pan meals so it would be great. I am just not very good at waiting, I want one now! So much going on in my life just now and resisting the feel good retail therapy from LakelandJust love Lakeland.
Thanks for sharing all your experiences,0 -

Have only tried sausages in a casserole so cannot comment on how they would "grill" but I am sure someone will be along soon that has tried them.
I thought long and hard about buying one because of the cost but it has had so much use, don't think I could manage without it now and also we are definitely using much less electricity than when I was using the fan oven every day.0 -
Afternoon all
Well I have been experimenting for the last week since getting r.e.m.e the remoska -Did a turkey + bubble n squeak topped pie the other day-it was lovely and the 1st time I have had turkey breast steak that wasn't bland :T , various pasta bakes, cranberry scones, today I have made hubby some cream of tomato n lentil soup, and the bread is just finishing
Hubby has just phoned to say that my second remoska (my free one)has just been delivered to his office :j ..so I will keep that one for when im cooking for more folks :T
Still haven't had to put the oven on yet -Im going to have to be desperate to put that on.. I love my remoska :j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Can I ask a question here? Or should I ask on the quick questions thread??
I've read about a lot of you making bread rolls in the 'moska. I've never made rolls before, but thought I would like to try it. How much dough and how many rolls might I get in the standard? Oh, and how long will I give them to bake?
Edit; I found the answer on the previous page. Sorry can't remember who to thank for the post.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0 -
I make 8 rolls using 8ozs of flour. I place them in the Remoska seven round the edge and one in the middle so that when risen they form a flower shape.
When the edges begin to brown I put a circle of foil over them until the centre on browns.
I've never really timed them, just remove them when they look done, I guess it's about 20-25 minutes.

Baked apples or baked pears, stuffed with mincemeat and a little water in the base of the pan - are even better reheated the next day! They go caramelised and fab.
I've ordered a second deep pan (I have a standard moska) and a rack. This is so I can do main course then transfer lid to cook a fruit-based pudding in second pan. Yum. Great way to get one of my 5 a day!

Hello everybody. As my Xmas pressy from my family I am going to get a Remoska :T , I'm going to get the Standard one. I read somewhere about getting it through Quidco, but they will take off the first £5 that I would earn, is it worth getting through them, or should I just go straight to Lakeland? I don't think I would be getting anything else with Quidco in the near (or far) future so I'm not sure it's worth joining.
And it's you lot on here that are responsible for me wanting one, I've been reading everyday about what delicous (and economical) meals you have been making! I can't bear to use my electric guzzling fan oven very often, I'm on a pre-pay meter and I can see the money go down when I use it. So the obvious answer is - get a RemoskaKEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:0
