Astonsmummy, how are you going to deal with it when she comes in season? I wouldn't advise taking her out ;)

We bought Rolo some Mikki pants. Hah. Two of us.....pinning her down. This pup that's less than a year old. In the end, the pants still weren't on her, I was covered in blood, and so was my partner. And she grinned at us.

Eventually, by trapping her waist between my legs, putting the dratted things together, and pulling them over her backside, I managed to get them on........only to find her, half an hour later, with the pants off (intact......I have NO clue how she did it), with a bloody pad hanging out of her mouth. Grinning at me, again.

Oh, and she peed on them. Just to add insult to injury.

I had to get my girly speyed last summer, as she came into season and nearly died with pyometra. If you're on benefits some vets do it cheaper, it was worth it for me as I was on JSA in the summer hols:j

Candygirl, they do it after a season, right? Or is that just the first season?

Pyo is something that really scares me, with regards my dog. I can't have her spayed until she's produced a litter though - terms and conditions of contract (friend, breeder of my b*tch got flooded and had to rehome Rolo......she didn't want to, because she's a stunning example, a relative of a girl she sadly lost, and she shows bullies) so the terms were, I got her at a vastly reduced price, I allow my friend to breed her, then on completion of the puppies leaving mum she becomes mine fully, and I intend to get her spayed then.

Please get her spayed. Rescues are positively overflowing with unwanted staffies already, without adding more to the numbers,

Aww your Staffie is lovely! Mind you if you ever want your bed to yourself again, don't let her on it at all! Ours used to push us off the sofa
My Staffie was a rescue, but she was only 12 weeks old when we got her. She soon proved to be a chewer. Not of toys, she chewed walls, chairs, carpets...... She prefers to play with her toys.

She is totally adorable. Not the most intelligent dog in the world though. She LOVES my DH, but puts up with me as I'm the one who is sterner with her. She does as I say and walks really well with me, always by my side. But when DH tales he out she does the steam train thing even on a harness, and pretty much ignores any commands he gives her lol.
Visitors get the full Staffy experience when they come in :D doggy breath included. She loves playing with kids & my DS spends hours playing with her. Although it is a bit embarrassing when she decides she wants to play football with people she doesn't even know!
