Orange retention/upgrade tip

Big tip when looking at Orange retention deals - wait until AFTER your renewal date to upgrade! Although you can upgrade within the last month, the system gives you way more loyalty bonus after you've completed a full 12 months (something the sales staff don't always mention), which allows the sales operatives to give ou much better offers. Ideally you should give standard 30 days notice when you have around 3 weeks of your contract left, giving you 1 week to get a decent deal.

For example, we were offered 200 mins and 200 texts for £20 a month on an 18 month contract with a few pretty average phones before the special 12 month date.
After waiting a few weeks we were given 400 mins/unlimited texts with Sony Ericsson 890i for £15 per month with absolutely no haggling, which I think is a pretty tidy deal! I also think they would have done this deal with petty much any phone we asked for.
