Trading Standards?

Can anyone inform me if there is a way of contacting Trading Standards online.

I have had absolutely enough of Virgin Media. Countless times I have been fraudulently charged. after far too many calls, I regretfully gave up.

Now it seems they are up to there old tricks again. They are offering Broadband Xl for £20, I pay almost double.

They say that I am receiving a loyalty bonus, which I am. But my point is that I receive a loyalty bonus for my loyalty, not so that they can charge me double, then discount some back.

Other scams by Virgin include (back in January) removing the charge for the basic tv package (which has less channels than freeview I think, but still charging it's customers.

Another - charging for it's XL phone package. All landline calls inclusive, then still being charged for calls?

There are more and I would appreciate it if people could post them here as hopefully I can refer trading Standards here for reference (not that they will be able to use the info, but still, they can see the company for what they are).

Thanks all

Your first port of call should be Consumer Direct, who will put you through to your local TS if necessary.

If you click on the link, there is an e-mail facility, and if you want to phone your local TS, don't use the 0845 number, try one of the following; -

    East of England: 01438 737460
    East Midlands: 01522 563000
    London: 020 8799 9200
    North-East: 01642 495600
    North-West: 01229 842203 020 31035167
    Scotland: 01851822401
    South East: 01622 626520
    South West: 01209 720333
    Wales (English language): 02920 367800
    Wales (Welsh language): 02920 367801
    West Midlands: 02476 786610

I did not make it clear in my reply above, the numbers I have given are for Consumer Direct,(in place of their 0845 number), not local TS.

If you contact Consumer direct they will assess your problem, give you help and then get back to them if you still still unhappy with Virgin, they will contact Trading Standards if they think you have a case and they in turn will contact you for the details.
