I know it's hard to believe but it's true. I was looking at paying £30 a month for 500 minutes/texts on contract but I kept reading the booklet they gave me and worked out that for only £20 on PAYG I could get the same deal. This is how it works, and it is easy and legitimate. You buy the top-up and load it onto your phone. Then, fo free, on the handset, go to Planet 3, My3. Listen to the options and choose "Stretch". This also works for top-ups of £10 and £15 but you get less minutes/texts naturally. If you do not do the stretch option, you get less value for money. The catch is that you need to use it up within 30 days of stretching it or it just goes. Still a good deal if you ask me, and you stay in control of your spending.

u can get mix and match 1100 for £20 on the three website including a phone. The £30 u quote maybe for a high end phone. Not sure how you are working the deal above out.
