Sorry, I couldn't find the other thread so I've started again.

So, now here's a surprise. We wanted to ditch Tiscali for our BB/phone (long story) so only option was BT, I assumed we'd have to pay a massive deposit & reconnection charge, BUT we've had no problem whatsoever. We went through the 'come back to BT' link on the website, so no reconnection charge, and they only restriction on our account is £75 per month call limit, well chuffed!

And then on to O2 broadband, just had that activated too, Mr P is a PAYG customer so we've got the £7.50 a month package, again thought we'd get rejected due to the credit check, but no, no problem at all, we applied yesterday, router is arriving tomorrow, going live on Monday.

Well done to BT & O2

  • Hello all................

I have come across another bank which accepts everyone - Onebanking. It seems to operate on similar lines to think banking. The main differences appear to be that you receive a prepaid Mastercard and there is internet access to your account.

I applied yesterday, but I had to forward copy of passport etc to confirm ID.

28th March 08, so only half way through!
We left BT about 18 months ago, and OH has had his o2 PAYG for about 8 months, they refused him the simplicity sim because he failed the credit check!

    Thanks K2nga:D

    thats great to know.

Can i ask did you owe BT in your BR?? Sadly they are one of my creditors. Due to DD failing and them billing me 18 months BB and line rental plus calls.
