Dear All,
I thought it might be nice to start a thread to promote those companies who help people who are BR. It might be that they are willing to do business with a BR or offer services to BR's.
Please only put companies in here that are post BR and not pre. I thought it might be interesting to find out what companies are out there but also maybe help people recently BR find companies that might help them in some way. It would be also good if some companies saw this as an opportunity to get a BR's Business or change there policies in order to get business.
Ok after me going on i will start as i have in a few other threads...........Wait for it..............
Co-op Cashminder Account it just has to be at the top of the list as there approach to banking and policy towards BR's when all the others dont help. Well done Co-op.

Premium credit seem to be OK for paying my motor insurance monthly. Obviously not for more than £500. There appears only to be a problem if a payment is missed.Bankrupt 11th June 2008

For discharged bankrupts try The Yorkshire Bank, Readycash Account. You get a Maestro debit card.Easy to open, but you do have to go into a branch.Very nice staff and good service.:T0

I agree with Angel. But you do need to be discarged.
Toucan.
Swapped from BT to Toucan for Broadband internet and phone. He did say over the phone that they coudn't clear me instantly (didn't mention why - but as bankrupt at the time it's obvious why) and I'd hear by post.
But they took me. No deposit required.0 -
If anyone is in UNISON or any of the unions associated with UIA insurance, I was insured with UIA for the household insurance and they didn't cancel my cover when I notified them and have just sent me my renewal.
On the other hand my car insurance company want to charge me 36% APR for paying my car insurance by installments.....going to have to borrow Mom's VISA card I think.....

Virgin Saver's Card. I didn't say I was BR so don't know whether they check or not.
Sky. Ordered a box and dish and four programmes for £75. Do they check? I don't know.
I've had no problems with AOL just changed to Direct Debit in Coop bank.
I'm not sure if I'm putting in the right ones here but I suppose if you've been a customer for a while eg insurances etc and simply change the bank account why would they know?
I think I'll go and have a lie down. lol
