Porting number from PAYG to Pay Monthly?

The number is yours and you can port it to any other provider, it's an Ofcom requirement to allow you to switch. I believe your existing supplier must provide your PAC code within 5 days. Phone up Customer service and request the PAC code then once you have it, it's valid for a month, call up your new provider and give it to them during sign-up (some Co.s allow you to do this after signup but in my experience it's easier if you provide the PAC at the start).0
