The MoneySaving Tip therefore would be to fully fill up every time, therefore not getting charged 1p for the occasional £10.00 but 1p on the occassional full tank, therefore costing only 24p (if it were MINI Doozer) rather than £1.20 - if it did it every rime, which it doesn't and is still within TS guidelines.
What if the pump was actually giving you 1% more petrol than you thought you were getting and you complained about being ripped off by 0.1%? Trading Standards would have the pumps recalibrated and you'd end up losing £10.80 a year all because you complained!

Had something similar to this on Reporting Scotland last week. The number of claims of dodgy pumps has gone through the the roof.
Needless to say weights and measures have founf yhem all to be groundless.0
