Cost of sending an Overseas Text

I know this may sound odd, but I'm finding it difficult to find out how much each of the mobile providers charge for sending an overseas text message. I'm with Vodafone and they charge me 20p per text. I'm thinking of moving, what do the others charge, in particular Orange. Am I also right in thinking that there aren't ANY plans out there which include overseas texts in their plans? (i.e. 200 'free' texts includes texts to anywhere in the world). I mainly text to the US and Hong Kong. I don't text to other phones in the UK much.

Cheers.

I got a quote from o2 to send texts to South Africa and it worked out at 12p a text fantastic considing I am paying at the moment 20p. Aparently it does depend on the country you are texting.
  • Unfortunately your inclusive free texts don't include texts to abroad.

I use this service to send my texts to abroad.

You basically text a UK number that forwards the text on. Use your inclusive free texts to text the UK number and only pay for the forwarding. Note, the receiver of your text can reply to your own mobile number but you must create a new text each time if you want to reply back.
