And why should the case be transferred at his request? Don't I have a say in this?
Maybes they are just shifting the workload around different offices? Mines has been up and down the UK over the years...0 -

Maybe yeah.
I still find it strange that no-one has advised me of the changes and that Falkirk were unable to tell me why the case was transferred.0 -

Have to admit I never used to get told either...I used to find out if it came up in any conversations with them.
You would think they would be able to tell you why though eh?Not hard I would presume...there is probably a really normal reason for it as well....

under the current scheme cases are allocated by the parent with care nino. if an nrp has an existing case and a new application is made when the application reaches a certain stage (almost ready to be assessed) then the new application moves to join the first/primary case. This may well have been the case with yourself? Belfast csac - where i work - currently deals with eastern england cases mostly - this is forever changing though. As you had said it was a public holiday in n.ireland last mon and tues so this week was very short staffed so if you try calling on moday you should be able to get sorted. might even be me hee heeComp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0

frugallass ... mine was also sent to Belfast years ago for 'no apparent reason' that they would tell me about at the time! Turns out there was another mother that had claimed CSA for their child off of the same father (my DD's dad). It's a very long story - but turned out to be true!! Apparently, it's where they send complicated cases - so I was told by them at the time - but this was many many years ago now!0

Some interesting replies there thanks.
I'd recently requested a review (as he's self employed and I believe he's been lying to CSA about his earnings since day one). I was informed a while ago that he'd not responded to CSA's request of his earnings, therefore the CSA were waiting for the information direct from HMRC.
As far as I am aware he has no other children but who knows, maybe it was something he wasn't aware of either until recently
I'm ringing Belfast tomorrow so will let you know what they say.0 -
Belfast said it was a Falkirk case and Falkirk said it was a Belfast case - there was nobody available at either office (strange) so I've asked that they call me tomorrow evening when I get home from work. Falkirk said that Belfast were "not doing their job properly", which doesn't help me but it was good to hear a bit of !!!!!ing
No-one could tell me why the case was transferred as "it could be a number of reasons"
So, still waiting for my reassessment and 2 months down the line no-one seems to know what is happening.
Great ! :mad:0
