Sorry to see you have had so much agro from these people. Over on DFW it seems that DCA's are usually easier to deal with so hopefully it will get easier shortly.0

hi, i am new to this site but i thought i might be able to help. Me and my hubby been through same with Connaught ( 1st credit). Dont think they are bluffing with stat. demand. They issued us with one, said we had to pay in full. If you do get one tell them you are going to apply to court to have it set aside. They will then accept repayments. We did this then last week they served us with a bankruptcy petition. Still dealing with that. They are an absolute nightmare. Good luck.0

You appear to be a rare exception to the rule.
I've seen 1st Credit/Connaughts issue probably literally hundreds of Stat Demands to members of this and other similar forums.
Of those, I think I can probably think of only 3 or 4 that have resulted in an actual bankruptcy petition.
And I think one of those was a 1st Credit employee attempting to sow disinformation.
It is still possible, but their track record means that it is still an unlikely prospect.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
