You were so right to leave him by the sounds of it!!! What have you done in the past 13 months that you might not have done had you not left him, that has made you really happy?0 -

You did the right thing. It doesn't make it any easier tho... I had a similar situation with an ex- he was violent but not quite to that extent. I had times fro ages when I missed him. But then I realised I only missed the good times and blanked out the bad- so I wasn't seeing the whole picture. That realisation helped me get over it and I met someone else- who is lovely.
It helps that my husband is built like a bs house but as gentle as a mouse!
You will get over it eventually but it's bound to take time and it will come back and haunt you at times. But you will feel better soon! I promise. I hope that helps.

Life itself! I wasn't allowed to wear my contact lenses, or make-up, I couldn't have my hair down or listen to my music. Every guy I spoke to I was accused of having an affair with, and yet I haven't touched one since we split, although maybe I should just as a big middle finger!
But just laughing with my kids is worth it! I took them to a caravan for a long weekend we could never have afforded whilst paying for his cigs and alcohol and drugs.
And most of all I go out and earn my money doing what I love doing which he said was a waste of time while he sits in some drug den stealing for a living to pay for his depressed habit.
