i have a natwest current account and e-savings for a few years now. To be eligible i guess all i have to do is set up a standing order of £100.00, is that all?

Seriously? Or is there a catch?

Hi, my E-Saver account has been set up and shows on my online banking and I got a letter saying the account is fully opened and the initial £1 deposit has gone though but I have no confirmation of the standing order and under the SO section of my online banking it says there are no SO's set up. Does anyone know if this is normal? I applied for my SO to start 1st Sept so will I have to wait for then for it to appear on my account?

    Thanks for the help.

Snap, I assume delay is due to Nat W having to send the SO to our Banks/BS.

I asked for my SO to start from 29th July not realising it would take longer to set up. :o

Does anybody know what would happen if i set up a regular payment to go out on monday from my Nationwide account to Nat W E-Saver what would happen if Nationwide set up the SO. ( being as the 100.00 is easily retrieved doesnt matter if 2 lots go out)

Also when i tried to set up payee details for transfers out to my bank account, a message came up saying ring 0844 number.

"You have not set up any Payees on the service. Please select the option to add a payee in the Payments section"

"For payments to individuals or to an account you hold with another provider, please record the account details here."

"To complete this payment please telephone 08457 888444 to speak to one of our agents."

I initially asked for my SO to start on 29th July too but when the form came in the post I crossed it out and put 1st Sept since had read it would take longer to set up. I hope that's allowed. See know reason why not.

I have a Natwest current account so I'd have thought my SO would be quicker to set up.

Give Natwest customer service a call, they may be able to help you.

Most of the time offers like this are for new customers only to attract new business.

Best to find out from the source and take the name of the CSA for future use if needed.

It had been answered about 4 times in the thread already before you posted your question.

To summarise, yes that is all

Just to say that my first standing order has gone from my bank (first direct) this morning as expected - and this was the payment requested by Natwest (so I'm resting easy now)
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

No sign of my SO yet - keep getting bits of paper through my door so they're obviously processing something...
You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...

Same here. I've had all the internet banking stuff through but no sign of a standing order having been set up or taken.

Why does the Original Post say e-savings account for Natwest customers and Savings Direct for non-Natwest customers?

As far as I can see, the e-savings account is open to anyone?
