Dial a Phone Redemption Question

I have taken out a 12 month contract with dial a phone that pays cashback at months 3, 6, 9 and 12 which is paid directly to the operator (O2). If I send off for my cashback at month 12 and cancel the contract as soon as I receive the cashback (leaving the account in credit) are O2 obliged to credit the money to my bank account?

Its a tricky one, here's what I did:
Ring them up and take out a new 12 month contract as soon as 11 months has passed, £19 a month contract & sell the phone (w800i) for the complete contract cost, or more). Then you are guaranteed to get your money back (because the line rental credit will be applied to your new contract) and you don't have to 'waste' the last part of line rental re-bate.0 -
I recently cancelled my contract with o2 after 12 months.
I didn’t realise that to claim the cash back from DAP; the account had to be active. (I thought that the contract was for 12 months only)
Having contacted DAP a number of times, they agreed that the money would be paid into my o2 account, they even sent a letter confirming that payment would be made.
I have contacted both 02 & DAP a few times since then, but o2 insist no payment has been made, whereas DAP insist they have paid this amount?
What should I don now?
Thanks
