Virgin Broadband Ripping Me Off?

Options
I thought I was getting a good deal on virgin broadband for £9 a month but I have noticed that they are now providing broadband for £4.50.

When i first considered moving to virgin i found this £4.50 deal but by the time i had comitted myself and went back to find it and could only find the £9 deal with phone for £11 a month. I just thought that i had missed my window of opportunity and accepted it. After signing the contract for the broadband i waited about 2 weeks for installation and by this time the £4.50 deal was being advertised to new customers again grrrr.

As i am in the beginning of a 12 month contract is there anything i can do to get the cheaper rate of £4.50? Or do i just smile and accept the fact im paying £20 a month and not £15.50?

You will need to look at your contract, but I am pretty sure most companies offer a cooling off period where you can cancel your contract within a set time.

Most companies will allow you to cancel within the first 14 days, but you will no doubt have to pay for any services you have used or any installation, or delivery costs that may have been incurred.

If you have missed this, I doubt you will be able to do anything else about it as you have taken out a 12 month contract.

Yeh I figured I was stuck but am just a bit gutted that if I had waited another week before signing up I would have saved £4.50 a month.

Ooft feels so unfair. Grrrr bad Virgin Media

I was looking at getting broadband with them online, and brought up the live help, the person on there said it was best to order online as the prices online are not available if you ring them to set it up.

This might be why you got the difference in price, I think the £4.50 might be for those who sign up online??

I did order online but they change their offers constantly. One week you sign up and pay £9 the next its £4.50 and then you miss it and it goes back to £9 and so on.

Seems a bit hard to keep up with.

I bought a jacket from a shop for £60, went back 2 weeks later and well annoyed that now it's half price.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
