0845 601 8150. I know it goes against SAYNOTO0870.COM, using an 0845 number, but I wanted to make sure that I got through to the correct department.

It says in the terms and conditions that you must keep at least one pound in the account at all times. Does anybody know what happens if you don't?

    Yes!

It won't allow you to do it as an interactive transaction. But if you do it as a SO ..... it just ignores the zero balance until you rectify it!

I've had 2 feeder accounts for the 7% RS for several years .... and they go to £zero for several weeks as the last payment goes out. And then don't return to a positive balance until the RS matures into them. Has had no effect.

But if you attempt an internal transfer that creates £0 ..... it won't let you. Obviously 2 different programmers!!
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

I rang them asking for my new Web Saver Reward to be the nominated account for my Regular Saver. I don't think you can do this yourself online. Have also cancelled old Web Saver.

I did the same first thing on Monday, only took a few minutes.

  • Hi All,

To change the 'nominated account' which your 10% regular saver goes into when it matures you have to telephone them I'm afraid, you can't do it online.

You can change the account which your standing order goes from online, but this does not change the 'nomintaed account' which it will pay into at the end of the term - so I have been told by Halifax CA.

    Hope this helps!

The telephone number is 0845 726 3646 (I know it's an 0845 number - but I called it from work so it didn't cost me - cheeky I know but every penny saved.....)

    Cheers,

    FE
