US embassy (Belfast) - Where can I leave my phone?

    That was the procedure when I went there. Its pretty strict and tightly run, I'm pretty sure they'd shoot you if you looked funny.

    How long ago did you go? I know that in London they've recently removed the facility whereby you can store your phone. I guess I can phone them, but for £1.50 per min I thought i'd ask here first.:p

    Last Easter. It may have changed, I don't know why though. Where did you get the information that no mobile phones were allowed?

    There is a very simple solution.

    Leave your 'phone at home, and ask your friend to email the results to you. There are cyber-cafes everywhere (including in the airport at Belfast) so you will be able to receive email without difficulty.

    It only says bringing electronic equipment will delay your entry and possibly that of others.
