I am feeling a lot better jsut now piglet. I had a wobble earlier at work and was in tears at the front of the showroom (as if the housing market isn't bad enough) but I'm doing a lot better tonight.
I spent a bit of time scrubbing my bathroom earlier so it's all sparkly and clean. Baby steps.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

Zoe, I'm in Fife so it looks like I wont be able to take advantage;) of your plasterer.
Vlad, there are big chunks missing in lots of places where the old tiles decided to take the wall with them but the walls aren't big. It's really just the bit between wall and floor cupboards (about 4 cupboards in length) on one wall, above floor cupboard to ceiling on the other (probably about 2 1/2m long, one full wall (only about 2m wide) and the bit under the window on the other one. With such precise measurements someone should surely be able to give me an idea of cost.:D
No alternative to plastering really but I've got just over £100 in birthday money and I'll add whatever is necessary to get it done. It really is hideous at the moment and not a good place to cook so it'll be worth it even if I do have to fork out some extra cash.
If it's just where the old tiles came off, are you going to put new ones? If so I'd be inclined to do a bit of DIY to fill the holes (provided you've got a flat wall to work to you can't go wrong) or just tile over the holes. Why pay good money for plastering that will be covered with tiles? I just don't like spending money on things like that.Night owl member Tventy Four ah ahWhere is the wisdom we lost in knowledgeWhere is the knowledge we lost in information. T.S. I'm not sure I can afford the tiles. I'll maybe get a couple of quotes for plastering then work out the tiling cost and compare the two. Sounds like a plan!Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on
