I'm not sure I can afford the tiles. I'll maybe get a couple of quotes for plastering then work out the tiling cost and compare the two. Sounds like a plan!

Whatever area you're dealing with I reckon you get some very very nice tiles cheaper per square metre than a proper plasterer. If you're worried that there are too many holes to tile over do it yourself. I don't want to offend any plasterers out there but the skill is in getting a large area flat. If you're tiling over it it doesn't need to be smooth, you can just fill the hole and run a straight edge over it to make it flush with the existing plastering. If anyone ever takes your tiles off they'll ruin the plaster anyway. Why throw money away on that. I'm so tight:D :D

Hiya guys, I'm ok bit down in dumps but I will survive. Had a pretty slow day. Met my new GP who is absolutely scrummy. Then got home to find the postman had been bringing my CCA from Welcome which I was so hoping they would have lost. Went to physio. Went to Morrisons. Had a huge row with my grandad because I went in kitchen to make me and Anton some tea and grandad decided he wanted to cook at the same time so he put a tray of chips in oven and then decided I was taking up too much room by having one pan of pasta on the boil so he threw a wobbler and carried on alarming took the chips out of oven through them in garden with the baking tray and stormed off. Finsished mine and Antons tea off took it upstairs to eat, watched a bit of TV finished my book 'Daddy's Little Earner' which I bought yesterday tea time, had a sleep and then came on here to do some competitions and that has been my day. Hand is fine thanks by the way just sore.

    How are you all?

Evening all - hows things? I've had a lovely day off work wallowing in nothingness (as in sitting on my !!!! all day long!)

It was DD last day in reception class so was a bit emotional that the year has flown so quickly.

Went to see my horse who is loving the warmer weather on her old bones.

So a great day in all but back to work tomorrow.

Muppet - so glad to see you here.
