Odd because normally when posts get removed the posts quoting the removed posts don't get removed.

Unless mine was reported and deleted as well, but I haven't had an email or PM about it.

Yes it is odd but as I said viewable in the cache for now, may go any time.

The cache says "Today, 2:06 PM" for clutton and "Today, 2:14 PM" for silvercar but as the cache was saved yesterday they were obviously posted yesterday.

The post before the two deleted was Premier Yesterday, 12:11 PM and the one after Captain Mainwaring Yesterday, 2:19 PM both of which are still present on MSE. If that helps any.

What is the policy on MSE, does it need a complaint before posts are removed? Was there a complaint? If so by who and why
  • clutton is one of the better LLs on here.
She always has the correct advice for LLs and tenants and has helped a lot of people on MSE.

It must be very frustrating for her to see all the incorrect information being given out from the bad LLs.

Just how do you quantify that statement? are you a friend of his outside of this forum? or is it he superior attitude that encourages you to believe thus?

It's not all clear cut, and sometimes Clutton does nothing to help LL's with difficult tenants which is another (possibly more important) consideration.

I see another one has resorted to abuse - I have had PruDryden and the Mortgage advisor with a 90K flat (hotshot) - call me a child abuse on numerous occasions becuase I happen to live in Asia, and also to insult my wife and call her a prostitute - just thought I'd remind them that it isn't forgotten.
  • That is exactly what I was referring to when I said it made little difference to you. "Quiet enjoyment" means that you don't have right of entry to your tenants home unless it is an emergency, such as a gas leak.

Well since our notional tenant has refused our CORGI rep entry, and we are now committing a criminal offence, we better contact the Gas Board with the powers of entry to deal with the matter - and isolate the supply as necessary (and if really necessary, by isolating on the boards side of the meter outside the property).

If causing the Landlord to commit a criminal offense is not an emergency, then I don't know what is.

This is nothing to do with being fair, this is dealing with tenants who are being completely unreasonable.

Clutton can be hoisted by his own flagpole for his principals, but I don't intend to be. I am 100% fair to my tenants, but the minute this sort of old baloney starts up I will use any means, fair or foul to deal with it, so long as I stay within the law. Decent tenants will of course never have this sort of issue.

perhaps the mods might like to contact me to explain which of my posts were deleted and why they were abusive - as if i did abuse someone i would prefer to know how not to do it again ?

Well I didn't complain - even when Halifax and the bearded lady called my wife a prostitute and me a fiddler.

I'd like to think that whilst things get heated, we can behave as gentlemen (pru would have no trouble with THAT one hehe).

A golden rule is that I am right and you are wrong, unless you are agreeing with me.

if someone asks for a post to be removed which contained the word vexatiuos - then they need to get a life and not be so blooming sensitive -

i would have complained (had i been Capt M) at the fiddling accusations, i thought all that was appalling

premier - you can always put me on ignore ...............

I would guess that anyone hitting the red triangle gets the post removed without much deliberation, particularly at weekends.

The post was removed by the abuse team, the board guides (we are not mods) did not delete it. If you would like to discuss the matter further, please email abuse with the query. I presume someone thought the post was abusive and reported it.

Better not to, let's people show their true colours.

I must admit I'm surprised they pulled the post with the gas act stuff in it - I only suggested that you iron your tweed jacket.

I wonder how (as you say) some people manage in daily life.

i thought the ironing my tweed jacket bit quite amusing actually - i normally get my "man" to do it for me !!!!!!! ****

if folks take offence on a forum inhabited by anonymous total strangers - they must have pretty empty lives for it to matter to them - as i have said - if someone does not like what i write - let them put me on ignore - i have about half a dozen on my ignore list as i dont want to read some of the silly rantings of some folks delusions on a daily basis

    *** well i would if i wore them !!!
